On October 16, 2025, one toilet/shower/washing machine block was closed (no longer for the season). In another, the toilets were uncleaned, all three washing machines and dryers were out of order, and all this for $72 per night! No apology from the staff, nor any interest in improving the situation. We asked for our money back. Stay away from this campsite.
The site is quiet and very clean. The restrooms and showers are very clean and tidy. The staff is very friendly. At $66, it's a bit on the expensive side, but we would still come back.
75/night May 2025. Most expensive site I've booked .It's a powered site, not even on the beach. Tap is gone & area light not working. Vehicle is parked in the street.
Absolutely not recommendable. Very unfriendly staff. Not worthy of Australia and too expensive for what it offers. We have never paid as much for a site as we did here. 115$ for a powered site for two nights (low season). The sanitary facilities are old and dirty. The kitchen was very small and poor and the BBQ area was also simply closed. The local families in the motels are very loud at night and it is not possible to sleep well. Go to the other campsites in town. Hopefully these are a better choice.
Amenities werent the cleanest or up to date.. Seems to be geared towards the mining sector and not for tourists. Wifi only worked if you were near the office and dont think about any TV. Staff advised due to iron ore in the surrounding hills... It was hard to even get the ABC. They were right.
Good place to stay ?
Fabulous site, showers best we have had, staff very friendly I would highly recommend staying here
Loved the great bathrooms, nice clean camps, only annoying part was our caravan site nexy bbq area and a cabin, with some very loud talking men, that smoked at bbq area.
We paid $81 for two nights powered site (with Top Parks discount). Sites are nice and spacious, we couldn’t fill our tank with water though as the taps were too far from the site and blocked by a tree so we couldn’t get closer (our hosepipe is annoyingly short). Amenities aren’t the cleanest but they’re fine. All open to the elements though so few too many critters for me! The birds and flies do your head in, but that can’t be helped. Good stay otherwise.
Spacious sites, plenty of grass. Not sure why the negative comments below. Amenities were fine. BBQs and playground. Dump point and gas refill or swap. Didn’t use the pool but it looked fine. We stayed an extra night to have a breather from days of driving.
