Good for children because of the swimming pool and playground. Adults, prefer the camp near the Pentecost River for legendary sunsets! Toilet and hot shower but no wifi, Optus network ok. Restaurant, small shop, TV… a little expensive perhaps
On our first visit we stayed at the Bush Camp down by the river. Beautiful sunset on the mountains and good space with nice amenities. Watch out for burrs! Ouch! Second time we stayed at the homestead and even though we arrived late, we snagged a great spot. We were too late for a dinner reservation but they sorted takeaway for us in 10 mins!! Not cheap ($42 for 2 adults without power) but great!!
Expensive campground, over 70,- for two adults and three kids under 10 for unpowered site. Nice pool, bar/restaurant and playground, good shaded places. Unfortunately lots of frogs in toilets and showers. Very basic and didn’t look clean.
$40 unpowered for two people, which is a bit much as there's not much to do. We stayed up near the homestead - has grassed sites and a bit of dust. The main pool was closed at the time. You can get 3G reception at the top of a short lookout walk. We didn't try the restaurant.
