I was really looking forward to seeing a lavender farm! Really nothing special here. Overpriced! Basically you pay 5-10$ for a photo in the garden!
Entrance now is $5 and the owner is super rude, don’t recommend a visit
We were charged each which definitely did not feel worth it, nothing special at all!
“I'm sorry you feel that way but do respect your views. We have lavender here that does not normally grow in the South Island and is flowering along with many other plants.”
Looks tired and kitchen area was a mess. Walked around shop and staff member couldn’t even manage a hello. Typed notes stuck up look unprofessional. We didn’t stay for walk around garden or any food.
For $2 it’s definitely worth the stop! We said hello to a very friendly sheep called Tim and cuddled Bonnie the lovely retriever. Would definitely recommend for a short break from the road :)
“Thank you for taking the time to comment. Tim and Bonny are very special to us.”
Lovely place, 2 $ entrance is absolutely okay. It's a big garden with other flowers as well, makes it nicely coloured and smells so good. They also have free Boccia available and 2 lovely sheep :P In their shop we tried 2 different lavender ice creams (with honey and with chocolate) and bought a lavender flavoured honey which tasted amazing! A visit is recommended.
“Thank you for your review. We also have a Vegan ice cream so you'll have come back to try that one too!”
Such a lovely place for a morning walk, saying hello to some sheep, and tea. We had lavender ice cream, short bread, and 2 kinds of lavender tea! (and a lovely visit with Bonnie the dog)
“Thanks for your comments. Since your visit we have added Lavender Millionaire Shortbread (Caramel Shortbread in Kiwi) to the menu - it is yummy.”
Nice stop if you're around. 2$ is an acceptable price for the 30' we spent.
“Thank you.”
