Amazing views friendly staff!
Good clean site with facilities to match, nice little pool and views of the mountain. Also easy to walk into town and beach. Very friendly welcome and helpful local knowledge at reception
We stayed for 2 nights in a campervan and it was lovely. The staff are friendly and the site has everything you need. Showers are clean. It was slightly noisy with lots of children but we did visit over the Easter weekend so this may explain why. Overall, good campsite.
People were very helpful in this campsite. Everything was very clean and it was an easy walk into the main town but remember that this campsite is on State Highway 1 leading to Picton, with associated traffic even at 4:30 am.
Clean facilities and in a good location in the centre of Kaikoura, definitely worth staying here if looking to go whale watching as the road is just behind this to board
We had a lovely stay for three nights around swimming with dolphins and whale watching (as well as a long walk around the peninsula in the drizzle). The site offers all of the standards of a Top 10 you would expect and the staff were friendly and helpful. The location on a map initially might lead you to think there is beach access but, as other reviewers have said, there is a train track between the site and the beach. This just means you take a short walk into the town to get to the beach.
Very good campsite. Pitches on the small side Shower and toilet block clean and plenty of facilities. Laundry paid by credit card - saves hunting for $2 coins! 15 minute walk into town one way and 15 minute walk to supermarket in the other direction
Very modern campground. Laundry costs $6, as does the dryer. Kitchen and showers are clean. There's probably a helicopter landing pad nearby. It was very noisy!
Good range of facilities. Not the most beautiful camp site but great place to prepare for local activities. Staff friendly. Was very busy (full!) when we went. Loud trucks and trains nearby at night (although we slept through)
Stayed here on Nov 13. Excellent facility with all of the amenities. We enjoyed our stay. Neighbors are close but not intrusive.
