Amazing experience! Beautiful nature and a lot of birds. I strongly recommended binoculars for a great experience.
Amazing, I recommend chatting to the staff. The project is unlike anything I have seen in the world before.
Beautiful park, 21 $ pp. If you like forest, trees, plants and birds should look at it. Unfortunately, the birds are barely visible on top of the 15-20m tall trees.
Really nice park. If you like nature, here comes his money. Take your time and look for the special animals. A great change to the hustle and bustle in some places.
Beautiful sanctuary. More recommendable in summer than in winter, so you have more chances to see and hear the animals :) Several small walks and a nice cafe at the entrance. There is a kind of "scavenger hunt" (Who discovers most animals ?!) - just great for kids!
We hiked The Wairere Traverse over the mountain from Hicks Road at the northern end to Tari Road at the southern enclosure end using a shuttle drop off (Lake District Adventures). A beautiful four and half hour hike through lush forest and flourishing bird life.
Beautiful, so glad we did this detour.
It was just great !!!! I saw because sunset and because sunrise can be amazing.
Very nice hike! Even on a rainy and windy day like today we managed to see different birds very close so that we were even able to make a picture. Some of them were quite curious about us. Kids loved this experience! Happy that we found this wonderful spot!
Very nice hike in the middle of old trees and dozens of birds singing continuously. Count 1h30-2h of climb to the summit taking the time to stop and observe what is offered to us! Too bad, we hoped for a view of the plateau at the top and we were very disappointed with the result: a small square with cut trees, rubble from an old observatory collapsed and a table with 2 benches! ? A good hour of descent again allows to make beautiful encounters. To our delight, an owl came to say hello! In short, a hike not very suitable for families but very nice! ??☀️
“Hi there thank you for leaving feedback it sounds like you did the over the mountain track. If you get a chance to visit again please take a walk in our forest sanctuary area the two experiences are quite different!”
