Beautiful spot. We were there with a self-contained motorhome, so we did not use the pit toilet. Because of the sandflies we stayed inside as much as possible. There were several campers (tents and motorhomes). Grass area was reasonably flat. But luckily we stayed on the gravel. All night it had been raining hard, so in the morning we could drive off easily.

Peaceful spot, nice enough facilities with a pit toilet. No signal. Lots of sandflies so cover up.

A disappointing DOC site. We usually love the DOC sites and that one surprised us for the worst. 1. DO NOT PARK ON THE GRASS! The designated grass for parking campervans in the upper park is not suitable for non-SUV vehicles! We drove with our van and got stuck! Even though we checked it first by foot and it seemed dry. 2. The toilets are ok but pretty dirty. 3. There is no drinking water (there is non-drinkable water hose). 4. No cellphone reception.

For 18$ pp per night we expected the site will be maintained a bit more but got stuck in the grass as it was wet but not visibly muddy (no prior rain) - and this was for all the designated payed spaces. Ended up getting towed and parking on gravel (free spots at same campsite). Also no cellphone signal and flies.

Libro in avanti come il segnale cellulare è debole e ci sono solo alcuni punti. Ma come altri hanno detto attenzione alle mosche di sabbia. Meglio se si dispone di un camper e schermi per ottenere una brisa. WC pit erano semplici ma brezy, portare una torcia di notte come non ci sono luci.

Bel posto, i posti prenotati online sono proprio in cima.Molte mosche di sabbia, sopportabili in un camper.Nessuna cella ricezione (uno).

Segnale telefonico minimo e un sacco di mosche, ma un luogo solido per soggiornare per una notte. I bagni erano puliti e c'era un rifugio con schermi di bug che era molto utile.

(sito tenda 26/02/2024) il posto è davvero bello, con terreno piatto spongioso per tende. i servizi igienici erano in ordine, il solito longdrop con la vasca d'acqua non trattata fuori (coudln't/didn't trovare una vasca?). La cosa più fastidiosa erano i germi di sabbia che sono su di te in poco tempo, uccisi circa un centinaio mentre cercavano di leggere il mio libro fuori. Inoltre, se stai soggiornando in una tenda, attenzione a questo cockrel che apparentemente vive lì da solo, cosa povera.

Il campeggio stesso è ok. I bagni sono un po' odorosi e c'è un bel rifugio. Il peggiore sono le mosche. Abbiamo appena soggiornato lì per 10 minuti perché sono stati troppo.

Corri e vai al campo libero più avanti. Abbiamo appena arrivato e siamo stati attaccati da un centinaio di mosche. Abbiamo lasciato così rapidamente come siamo arrivati con circa sessanta di loro nella van per rimuovere, una vera gioia...
