Wonderful riverside campsite. Book by calling Ina on her mobile. Gorgeous for a sunny day, waking up to a swim in the river.
Really nice place to stay for a few days. Fireplaces, basic toilets, well spaced camping spots along the river. We paid $20 per person per night. The access was a bit rough and not sure if it is still good for low 2wd vehicles, this is probably because of the recent amount of rain on the area.
Beautiful place with wide river for the kids (and dog) to splash around in. Rough track due to recent floods but easy enough to navigate at a slow place. Great spot for fishing carp/bass.
Great drive down it’s smooth surface easy can do 2wd, campers not a problem, was a bit bossy leaving the grounds but they have had lots of rain recently, Ina was great to deal with, lots of campers but well spaced out so many great spots along the river, fire pits. Bring your own water, didn’t see showers. Definitely heading back.
Great campsite but currently closed for maintenance, until 23/11 the sign said.. We found out after an hour dirt road so best to call ahead before you head down
This location is incorrect, the campground is 16 kms from Wombeyan caves. The road from Wombeyan caves is all rough dirt with potholes, narrow with steep drop offs. Should be 30kmph speed limited road with lots of blind corners. When the signs tell you to sound you horn when entering a corner, Do it! road is dangerous with falling rocks, so don't stop for pics. Not suitable for caravans or vehicles towing. Adventure and trail bikes can manage but take it slow!
I don't recommend bringing a big rig or a caravan through from mittagong as the road is narrow and windy and a little hair raising with a big rig. Go Via Goulburn as the road is So much better. L must admit the scenery is spectacular in places but certainly not a good road for towing anything. A camper trailer maybe okay. The owner is a gruff ole fella, I know him fairly well but he is not so bad. His bark is Worse than his bite. The camping area is so gorgeous though and the Wollunddly River is so lovely.
Beautiful surroundings. Couldn't find the shower, but they have a few ports-loos throughout the campsite. The owner gets a bad rap in reviews, but he's not so bad. His wife is lovely. Camp on the eastern side of the river as its flatter and has better vehicle access. If you're travelling from the north, it's 43km of dirt road. I think you're better off going down towards Goulburn and coming back up through Wombeyan Caves. And it takes about the same time with less dirt. Open fires and well behaved pets allowed.
