Great spot, peaceful. Clean toilet & hot showers. Town is on rainwater tanks only so bring your own water (showers are free, button press, low pressure) just collects cash or card in the late afternoons, only 6 powered spots. Great pub too. 😁
The site seems abandoned. We stayed for 4 days during the cyclone because the roads where flooded. This area did not flood. So as emergency place it was great. We could use a toilet the grill and even a power source. But the place is really dirty and the shower cold. But no surprise if nobody is here.
Somehow everything feels abandoned. The toilets, although open and functional, haven't been cleaned for ages. The official campsites on grass are cordoned off, but there's plenty of room to park on level gravel. It wonderfully quiet here apart from some distant cows. So if your rig is completely self-contained it's still a good spot to stop a night for FREE. Telstra reception good. Beware: the parking lot is basically for the rugby club, so on days with home games or training it might get busy.
CLOSED. No signs just orange barriers!!
Only cold water showers on disable/parents toilet.
Everything is finished now. Great showers, however take a flashlight because the light is not working. The showers is with toilet so you don’t need to use the Ladies that indeed are a bit unkempt. Site is lovely grassy, bbq around the corner and nsw wallabies when you wake up. Pub on walking distance, friendly people serving a decent meal. Had a pleasant evening.
Stopped in and saw piles of empty beer boxes against buildings, full garbage bins, and what looked like an abandoned new bathroom construction site. Parents’ Room was modern but locked and the open ladies toilet was strewn with rubbish. I let the dog have a run and left.
This place is now $10 a night
Beautiful meadow for camping, right next to a horse pasture, but as a woman you should either not be scared to go to a spooky toilet, or how we slit a bottle and pee in there (then empty course) ? Best Life Hack so far
Great little spot! Donations encouraged to local shop but it is free. Showers and toilets! Camp next to a field with horses or next to the old footy clubhouse. Cafe in town and a gallery. ?
