It is also called Yates Crossing, it has had some ridiculous signs put up for no camping that includes no drinking, no riding etc, id say the 4wd tracks scarring the land that farmers have cattle on rubbish being left behind created the unfortunate no camping rule. Locals have removed some of the signs & people camp in those spots by the river, but mostly only overbite. Stick to that and clean up after you and you should be ok. Dont park where the signs still stand of course.
