Probably our Favourite Camp-site & on Par with Diamond Head. Diamond Head wins on the bush walks but Point Plomer for the Ocean Views from our camp-site. Great sites available for Caravans.
We absolutely loved this place! Great location, right at the Beach (where you can also surf). Nice vibes and very well maintained, seemed like it was renovated not too long ago. There is a dump station and you can buy basics like water, ice, snacks from an automat and even fresh seafood! The road is a bit bumpy for the last 5km but we managed with a 2W campervan which is quite big (6-7m long), just take it easy as soon as the gravel starts.
Great campsite right on the beach. Road to access is shocking but worth it if you have a 4WD. Had to buy a parks pass for each day ($8 per car) on top of the $24 per night for the campsite.
Quite and nice camping in front of the beach but not hot shower and the "road" to access is horrible. Also you have to pay a local fee for the national park
My partner and I only set out to stay the one night but turned into two! Loved the surfing beaches all around the campsite and we didn’t go in peak period so had plenty of room to more and the campsite wasn’t over crowded. Great walkway to overlook the sunrise in the morning aswell with a 600 metre walk through the campsite. Would happily return and the owners were very friendly and accommodating. We accidentally paid for the first night at the honesty box before the campsite but make sure you pay on arrival and not before at the campground, the owners were lovely and waved the double payment. @zeadventures
Great location and nice for real camping its a bit expensive for what you get especially for a single traveler but would go again for location
Great location with good surf and plenty of space, beach is nice and clean. Seems like it fills up early and there are no allocated spaces, so it's a bit of a free for all!! $10 payment with $20 deposit to rent a firepit (you're not allowed a fire without one) which pushes the price up a bit. Cold showers but overall clean facilities, would stay again for a night or two on the road.
There is a dump point at the campgrounds near the bins
Need to improve their grounds a bit. better with fix the roads and to all camp grounds should have showers and bbq and to have a kids park. The money they get of ya it's ashamed tho and lights in toilets too its around $32 including a car for two people per night, And around xmas. Wheres the money going to? sad
$24 minimum plus the $8 for your car. Wow! $31 per night even if there's just one of you.
