This caravan park is an absolute little gem! Every single staff member at the front desk is friendly and accommodating. The Sandbar camp site itself is so laid back and relaxing. They take care not to overcrowd the park and the sites are adequately spaced and spread out. We paid as little as we would have at a National Park camp, but had the conveniences of water and electricity, dump points and amenities block use - along with security in knowing the ten pm curfew on noise and music was adhered to by guests. The kids threw the fishing lines in a few times and rode their bikes around getting to be kids. There was a relaxed and safe vibe to the place. Would definitely return and highly recommend this camp site. Don't hesitate. Check it out for yourselves.
100% recommended. Paid for 2 people and 1 tent. Spacious places, bathroom cleaning 2 times a day, hot water works well. Staff very friendly!
Great bushland campsite
Awesome looking campsite from the photos but a shame about the long dirt road providing access to it, couldn’t get down there with our rental campervan
Paid 30$ for a van. Liked the place and the beach there. We arrived at 4pm, no staff was around. We just picked a spot and paid the next morning
Great campsite, really friendly managers. Arrived after 6 pm, but were given a camping spot and payed the next morning. Great amenities, unpowered bushland: A$ 25, powered A$ 30. :)
We arrived around 5pm when office was closed but were well helped, we got to pick a site in a certain area. Paid $25 per night unpowered, which is propably the right price. Amenities are a bit old, but clean. No kitchen, but there is an area to do dishes.
We love this camping ground! Very friendly staff, great for families and very quiet in off peak times. Amenities are oldish but kept clean. Lots of wildlife like bush turkeys, kookaburras, ducks, possums at night like to visit by the fire pits. Also a few dingo’s that don’t cause any problems at all.
Possums were cheeky devils but other than that, awesome location.. Tucked out of the way :) facilities were good and cheap $24 unpowered site :)
Old school campground. Some would say in need of renovation but we found it adds to the charm. We went outside peak time and it was so lovely and quiet. Close enough to forster for a day trip. The beach is deserted and no good for swimming but you can 4x4.
