Small caravan park mostly cabins and permanents with about 12 powered and unpowered sites, bathroom clean, and laundry, paid for 4 min shower, right on the river/ ocean great for standup boarding , fishing and kayaking . Friendly staff , sites 58 to 60 the best for views and access to beach.
Stayed there several years ago. We only pulled in because the sign said dog friendly. Were charged for a powered site, plus extra for the dog! "Oh, but we do include 2 complementary dog treats and a poo bag." - All of which we carry. Only one of four power points on the nearest pole was useable, there was no drainage point for our sullage hose and several of the men's toilets were out of order. To cap it off, they wanted to charge for a hot shower. We had been right up to Karumba and back down the East coast on this trip and this was the most expensive place we stayed at and the only one that charged extra for the dog. I can't comment on the cabins, as we didn't use them. Perhaps that's where the management direct most of their attention. I just hope that the place has improved since, but we won't be going there to find out.
Rip off..!!! Avoid !!! 65 bucks per night small camper . Have to pay for dirty shower 40c -4 mins loud locals .. Paid less in Sydney and Brisbane city.
45 Bones for a powered site per night and they make you pay 40c per 4 minute for a hot shower. The park has a few nice spots along the front but the rest feels and looks run down. It's a quiet time here in May and I couldn't find one clean toilet cubicle. The showers where dirty and the attempted renovation would be described as a polished turd. On a very positive note the beach is stunning. Great for those who love rock fishing. Will I stay again? Not a chance. Shame a great spot has this park!
