My wife and I stopped here for the night. Arrived around 3pm and there were spaces available. By 5pm it was full. Got up and went for a walk and the park, playground are great and toilets are clean with and out door shower. Rockhampton have done well making this a free site as it is just off the main road but noise was not to bad.

Great free campground! We arrived quite late, around 7:30 pm, and luckily managed to find an available spot, but it was already quite full. The campground was clean, quiet, and there was plenty of grassy space for tents. I’d recommend arriving earlier if possible.

Awesome rest area 10 mins to toilet and outdoor shower and an amazing playground for kids in all ages. A mall just 5 mins walk away.

Right in town. A bit noisy Nice community cob. Just a car park no shade. Need to be fully self contained Toilets and outdoor shower at other end of the park. Fills fast.

Awesome free camping

Nice size car park next to a park, toilets avaliable 8 minutes away walk open 5am-8pm. 24 hour available but you have to drive to the other side of the park. The comment in March is wrong as there is two car parks, one for overnight parking and one for the day. Next to A1 but didn't bother us overnight. Drinking water points avalible next to the toilets 8 minutes away. (I called the council to confirm avalible overnight stay)

Clean, very quiet, no bathrooms but right next to a hungry jacks and other stores. Quite nice for a free camp!

A beautiful area to park at and do some yoga in. I arrived around 4pm; there were plenty of parks to choose from. Toilets and showers are a short 6 minute walk away into the gardens, clean and with toilet paper. There are a couple of picnic tables near the car park on the grass. I felt very safe as a solo traveler and was not bothered by the road noise, quite minimal at night. You can fuel up across the road and probably other shops but I didn’t need to venture there. Highly recommend this spot.
