Pull out on the highway so you can hear vehicles going by but not too bad. Several other campers also here which made us feel safer. Toilets and running water!
Highway area, close to the road but not under a disturb to sleep, no shower but toilets and taps For one night it is reasonable
A rest stop on the highway, there is a sign of no camping but everyone ignored it. Many caravans and campervans at night with no issues at all. The noise from the highway wasn’t really an issue for us inside the car.
Lots of place but noisy because of highway but there is toilets
A resting place right next to the highway, there is a little noise accordingly. But the only free campsite at Byron Bay. Washing toilets are available. For a night, this is okay, but it is not very cozy.
Very noisy as it is right on the highway. No tents allowed but campervans are ok. 10-15 mins away from Bryon Bay centre which is great. Toilets were okay, lots of bugs
No Tents allowed. Campervan should be fine.
Good place to sleep off in a campervan. Closest free camping to Byron Bay. No camping allowed and right by highway so noisy.
There is a NO CAMPING, FEES APPLIED sign.
Narrow rest area right on the highway. At night quite loud and toilets smell very strong. For the construction of tents is no place, because it is only an asphalt strip. Rooftop tents should be okay. For a free night before / after Byron Bay absolutely fine.
