Had a lovely quiet night here. Good clean amenities but shame the redundant wire rabbit fence (?) hasn’t been removed around campsite 4. It spoils the ambience. The Aroona Ruins are worth visiting, if only to appreciate how hard life was for the pioneers. We walked to the Heysen lookout from the camp, which only took 30 minutes (not an hour!). Well worth the effort for the fabulous views. We loved the Flinders Ranges in spite of the dry conditions.
Spacious and well separated camp areas alongside dry creek bed. Fabulous spot to view milky way on clear nights. Toilets clean and taps near sites. Fireplaces but bring own wood.
