12km steep winding road with nasty water drainage holes up to here. Not suitable for large/long vehicles or caravan trailers. Went here with a short Ford Transit camper, no problem so far - but got pretty hot brakes! The Gorge is an interesting red gorge. Not very high. It was completely dry and without water when we were here. Quite a few fly. Be sure to walk around the right way and descend what feels like a thousand steps - over the loop through the gorge, the climb back to the parking lot is relatively gentle.

That's such a beautiful place. You don't need to do the big loop, the creek is so awesome. But it could be that you get wet gets feets. Pay attention to pay the entry fee. It's a shame for SA

Amazing place to visit! We did the 9km Alligator Gorge Ring Route hike which actually turned out to be closer to 11km according to my Fitbit. If you’re going to do this walk do it anti-clockwise. The wider track/path has some consistent incline if you do it clockwise, so we were happy to be heading down in those spots!

Beautiful red gorge, very high. Short walk of less than an hour. A honeycomb in the throats today!

Beautiful gorge! Did the little circuit walk (green on map). Road is sealed all the way till the alligator gorge. But it’s very steep at some points and has “road dips” (inverted speed bumps) along the way. We went with our Motorhome. The street is recommended for short vans, cars. U shouldn’t go with a long van or trailer. Park fee is 10$ per vehicle, u have to pay online under parks.
