Amazing spot! Got a park on the river bank and saw the platypus swimming by around 7pm. 4km Gravel road but don’t let that deter you. The place was full of campers. There is some muddy areas and no facilities. Very patchy reception. No facilities.
A beautiful place to spend the night with a camper. We were alone there among numerous wallabies 🚐🦘
Amazing place! No toilets, no Optus signal. Best camping in our roadtrip! Highly reccomended! Gravel road but in really good condition. Man made fire pits, and families with pets 😊
Great camp on the lake, no toilets or Optus signal but the views were worth it. Was very busy when we went
Great free camp with fab views across the lake and a little creek, we went for a swim. It was quite busy, but it was a weekend when we stayed. Would recommend!
Awesome free spot. When you arrive from the Cradle mountain(30 driving including 5km on gravel road), cross the bridge and go right (the point is a bit further than the camping)
The most beautiful camp on the lake couldn’t believe the view when I woke up as arrived late at night. Watch out for the paddy melons if you’re driving in the dark!! Best camp I’ve stayed at for a long time!
Signs to say no camping and no one around. Very creepy in the dark.
Awesome spot Logging trucks on the track down so be careful if coming down in work hours. Lots of animals about, no facilities but there were fire pits. Absolutely beautiful. Used this as our place to stay for a few nights while visiting cradle mountain. Quite a few other people staying here too, seems to be a very active site.
Great spot. We drove down in our small car down the track in the dark, and were ok. Just take the road slowly watching for wallabies. Great place to camp, make sure you take your rubbish with you. No signal for us on Optus. Great base for exploring Cradle Mountain National Park
