Great walk, heavily trafficked even mid-week and off season. Did it twice I’d recommend the longer path (to the right) if you’re not a fan of stairs as it’s all slope walking. Either track don’t take too long

The only problem here is the lack of parking in the peak summer season. We parked a 20 minute walk away from the beginning of the trail. Just something to be aware of!

Great hike, 40mins up (quicker down), path is well maintained and there are steps pretty much all the way up, view at the top is worth it

Great views from the summit. The track is fairly steep but it’s not too rough. Definitely worth doing if you’re in the area. Enjoy!

It is a very beautiful place. The Oruahine way is longer, with a nice view and no steps. The Waikorire way is shorter but nearly everything is steps. I took the longer way up and the short one down. For me the right thing to do.
