Such a wonderful trip, scenic and informative. We did the Sunday trip. This included a lovely Bush walk, a farm visit, mussel and salmon farms and lots of scenery. Would definitely recommend this cruise, no matter which day.
Couldn’t recommend this trip more. It was the highlight of my South Island visit. Beautiful place and awesome tour guides/mail delivery people. Was such a unique experience
Did the Friday trip to the outer sounds. Absolutely fantastic. We were dropped off for a lovely bush walk at Jacobs Bay. The scenery was spectacular throughout. At the mail drops we were greeted by the residents and their dogs, pigs, sheep and goats, the animals all motivated by the dog biscuits the crew handed out. Delightful. The crew were excellent with interesting anecdotes about some of the locals and the history of the area. The boat very comfortable and stable. Highly recommend this trip.
MCA discount Strong NW wind forecast but surprisingly comfortable trip.
It was a wonderful day, even as cloud cover came up on the return trip and a strong wind blew. We enjoyed it very much. The trip to the farm was very interesting and the Farmerehepaa very friendly. Many thanks to you and especially to the crew of the ship!
Fabulous day out, Jim and Dee full of stories and knowledge of the area, can highly recommend
Fantastic trip. Friday is an all day excursion, so come prepared. The upper deck is great for views but quite windy. The boat has recently been upgraded to a larger, faster vessel. The weather wasn't great, cloudy at the start and finish of the journey, but it did clear far out in the sounds so when we came across dolphins, seals and birds all feeding in the same spot, photo opportunities were plentiful.
Super boat trip at fair prices, you can relax and see dolphins, seals and mushrooms, there is a great landscape and good explanations. It is definitely worth it.
Fantastic day out for all the family with wonderful skippers. Highly recommend this special way to visit the Sounds.
If you're in the area in colder months, take this trip. You are more likely to enjoy a glass smooth ride than in warmer summer months and meet more locals than tourists on board. There are bays, coves, inlets that your eyes will feast on all day. What makes this trip really memorable are the local stories told by Jim the skipper and effervescent Bindi. You'll get to see green muscle farms, hear of wild cows, peek at an exclusive resort island and to top it off you get too skipper the boat. Take this ride and support the many people who live in the Sounds and rely on this mail service every week. We did Friday's long haul to t Outer Pelorus Sound.
