Very nice equipped. Kitchen, Bathrooms(unlimited hot shower), Bar, BBQ, TV and Dump Station. Everything is standard but good. Very friendly people. Signal ok. Drinkable water. Even warm in the community rooms in the winter. Nothing to complain.
The host was very nice. However, it now costs $55 for two people, and there's a somewhat strange atmosphere at the campground. The permanent campers seem to have left their RVs there in ages, and it looks a bit run-down. Otherwise, everything was very straightforward and relaxed.
Sheila was delightful when we first rocked up. There wasn’t a way to make a booking online so we took our chances. Amenities were plenty with a fully stocked kitchen, dump area, water refill, toilets & shower in great condition. Theres a river at the bottom of the property which was a nice evening spot to sit and watch the sunset. $48 for the camper (there was 2 of us) which felt like a good deal!
Gem of a find! Quiet, clean, sheltered. Fab hosts really make you feel welcome and included. Warm showers and a well stocked kitchen for your use. There's even a small river you can paddle in
A bit of a strange place, mostly permanent residents who all meet for drinks at 5pm. Was worried it could get a bit loud but it was all good. Toilets and showers were fine and a very well equipped kitchen. On side of highway so all the trucks and traffic from ferry goes by.
Very welcoming host, helpful advice. Well-equipped kitchen, hot shower. Saloon for relaxing and a large lawn for those without electricity. Great stay, 45 minutes from Picton.
Sheila and her partner are absolute gems! Came to the camp with my friends for a night, left three nights later. We got so many tips and recommendations and advice! The place just huggs you and gives you everything you need for your next travels. Can very much recommend!
Amazing owners Sheila and Nathan are very helpful letting you know what’s worth doing in the area. We ended up staying 3 nights in Havelock (I know) but we enjoyed it so thoroughly. Facilities are packed and great. Spend some time in the saloon talking to locals if you can. Everyone is very welcoming
Had a great stay, the host was very lovely and welcoming. Lots of room. Beautiful outlook on the mountains. Host recommended stargazing, was not disappointed! Amenities are a bit old but clean and the shower was nice and warm! Definitely recommend!
