Never go past Whakapapa and not hop on the Waka to enjoy a buffet lunch at the Pinnacles restaurant,super food &Fantastic view's even in summer.The staff are fantastic and very friendly from reception,waka stations and restaurant.Love do do it again when the snow is around

Beautiful day trip, even with children! We were here in the summer when the sun was shining. Fantastic view and small snow areas everywhere (bring a plastic tarp or something, it's great fun to slide down the little snow hills!). Gondola ride $ 49 per adult, with lunch buffet $ 75. It is totally worth it !!

This is a must do on a nice day. Make sure you ask what’s open and available to do at the top before getting on the Gondala we wasted a lot of time waiting for our lunch slot as there was a bit of construction happening and we were able to walk around much. Buffet is very nice for lunch. The Mead walk at the base is great for nice views or lord of the rings fans.

It was great the highlight was the buffet lunch at the top. The deserts were too good. I would have been disappointed to come up here and not have the lunch!
