Nice short walk to something a little different. Lots of snails and mud crabs, great for nature lovers
We quite like it, it is very short but different from other walks in catlin. Nice wooden path in swamps.I recommend to stop there. We heard many birds singing.
Eh, okay to stretch the legs but little of interest. Boardwalk is actually the shortest part of this walk - probs about 150-200m in total. Saw some small mud crabs, nothing else.
Don't bother if you're not actually interested in nature and the only birds you care about are kiwis. This is a short stretch of boardwalk in a great example of brackish habitat, home to the lovely fern bird (easy to see if you come at right time of day and don't march through being noisey).
Not really worth it only a small stretch of boardwalk maybe good at high tide but we went few hours after low tide just a big and no birds
Without interest, go your way ...
Nice walk. Hard to turn 7m bus around with 1 car parked in turnaround.
We stopped here for a quick walk on a soggy, grey day to stretch the legs and it was definitely worth it. It is advertised as a 30min and walk, but took us 15 mins with time to look at the mass of snails at the end too! Looks like a new boardwalk. Glad they have built it!
