I did this a decade ago when I was last here. Beautiful views of Queenstown and one of the few things here that is free! It’s hard going if you’re not overly fit as it’s a bit steep but the trail is well maintained and it probably takes about 1.5 hrs to climb if you’re a beginner. Take your time and enjoy the outdoors. The views are worth it, I promise.
Best possible view on top i walked there with my 13 yr old son. We started at the lake. Spend some time on the top en back to the best b&b in Queenstown greengables b&b ? took us 4 hours total.
Great small hike. Took us 1.5 hours at a reasonably quick pace. Nice walk through pine forest before the track opens up in the last 1/4 or so. Lovely views over Queenstown and the hills behind.
Amazing hike I do this regularly it’s a great work out and is more like 1.30/2 return. Must do!
Nice little walk! (1h / 1h30) It rises sharply on the way out!
Really nice walk and highly recommended!
Beautiful prospects. It is definitely worth it. And after the first steep part it is also very pleasant to walk. The loop should be run right around with sturdy shoes (or shoes that can get dirty).

Nice walk Good little workout quite steep Recommend going on a clear day Lovely views, not amazing but worth the exercise and worth doing!
Keep an eye out for yummy blackberries on the left hand side of the hill as you're walking up ?
