Fascinating tunnel toward milford sound. 30km is the speed limit. Had a few people tailgating regardless. Otherwise, breathing views on the other end and the Kia's were partly interested in our car (of the selection they had) which made waiting at the lights rather fun.

Had to wait a while for works. Got out of the car and had a play with three Keas!

Works in the tunnel at the moment. It’s closed from 10:30-12:30, 14.00-16:00 and 18:00-00.00. Plan your trip around this as you can get caught in Milford if you don’t leave before 6pm. Not sure how long these will be in place for but looks like extensive works

If you are lucky you will come to the right place and can drive through the tunnel! If you are coming from Milford Sounds, there may be a longer waiting time because many coaches have to leave and have to go through the tunnel
