Nah... Do not waste your time with this place. Not worth it. One road is private and another one continue on a small “car park” where you have a nice view on a sea but that’s it.

Superb place Unfortunately Mount Taranaki was in the clouds and very good weather elsewhere. That luck be with you! ?

Very nice spot to have some lunch, but make sure to bring a jacket because it gets quite cold!

Unfortunately it was very cloudy with us and how could not see Mt Taranaki Otherwise, quite nice here

It is unfortunately only a normal lighthouse, which stands on a meadow. Access is prohibited. But anyway it is a nice area here with a rocky beach and a lot of meadow. But the most impressive is Mount Taranaki, which you can still see very well from here.

Go further up the coast to the lighthouse museum if you want to go inside.

Normal lighthouse. There is good place to take a photo but nothing else. You can’t go in to lighthouse. And be careful, there is a grumpy woman with shovel who swears at everyone and doesn’t like backpackers and tourists at all.
