Llegamos a las 8:30 pm y todavía había mucho espacio disponible. La carretera estaba iluminada, por lo que pudimos tomar la carretera sin ningún problema. Los baños están en la estación de gasolina cercana. Sin problemas durante la noche.

Plenty of spaces, but was busy by the time we arrived. Sheltered from the main road, careful if you arrive in the dark as the ground is pretty uneven in places. Good cafe onsite which opens at 0800.

Great place to stop over. Plenty of parking on grass if carpark area is full. Nice quite spot behind the museum, which opens early with friendly staff serving up great coffee and food.

Toilet with code, impossible to use

Buen espacio grande y muy fresco. Usted se siente envuelto atrás del museo militar y están rodeados por la naturaleza en el otro lado. Lugar agradable para detenerse ya que es bastante tranquilo y un montón de estaciones de gasolina. baño público es todo a pocos minutos a pie. señal de teléfono estaba disponible en niveles decentes.

Fácil de aparcar en cualquier lugar en la hierba en el campo de la libertad, baños públicos muy limpios al lado de la estación de gasolina.

A quiet and large (I think for about 20 motorhomes) free camping area with clean toilets on the other side of the road by the petrol station. Great view of the high mountains, when they're not shrouded in clouds.

Great spot with toilets not too far across the road. Didn't go to the museum but I would stop by and try it out on my way back through. Great location for exploring Tongariro Nat Park and Lord of the Rings locations

Not the most cosy location but good for one night. I was there with a few other campers. Quiet. Toilers are across the street next to Caltex. The one on the site ate locked (from the museum).

Good location with a great mountain view. There are toilets, but it's a bit noisy with the train and road nearby.
