There were a number of different types of campers using this park when we stayed, but there was plenty of space and there were some drums for fires. Trees gave some shade and screening from the road, and there was minimal traffic noise as expected for a roadside spot. We saw a few goats as we left and there were hoof prints around our campsite, so I would be cautious leaving items outside of vehicles. Long drop toilet had to same smell most do, but is handy if you are not self-contained.
So beautiful here, among the pine trees and red sand. Heap of room camp on. We had fire. Very quiet considering how close to highway. No service unfortunately.
Very pretty rest area, drop toilet available easy access of highway.
Still doing roadworks but campsite is open and pretty. Some highway noise
Wonderful spot along the highway. We we’re able to set up a small fire as rocks and firewood were nearby. Lovely open location and the noise from the highway was bearable. :)
Nice spot, sort of close to the highway but not a lot of road noise. Suitable for most vehicles and tent - although some rocks are around. Toilet available
Nice little area, pretty quiet. 1 toilet and it's not the nicest, but it's free
Doing roadworks, campsite closed until 18/12/20
Best free camping area between Cobar and Broken Hill. Plenty of space and some parts of site are road base and others red clay which should be avoided by 2wd in wet weather. Stay here as other rest stops along a32 highway are fair to middling. This one is very good.
Good spot for a stopover. Toilets available and quite a few spots off the road under the trees. Can still hear the trucks on the road but it's not loud enough to keep you up at night. The stars were also stunning at night.
