I did a month-long road trip on the east coast, and this was the worst campsite. The town was uninteresting; don't waste your time and gas going here, even if it is one of the closest free campsites to Sydney.
I didn’t feel safe at all. At 10 p.m., I was woken up by shouting and a constant engine noise that I had already noticed when I arrived. There were people yelling insults, probably drunk or something, and it went on until 2 a.m. There were also dogs barking all night.
Super free camping spot. Clean clos but attention may be closed at night. For self contained vehicle and maximum 48h. I can only recommend
We have just been chased away from here cause ONLY self-sustanible are allowed (you have to have your own toilet). And you still have to ask the permission on the council website.
We camped in a rooftop tent but were woken up by the rangers who explained that camping on the site without a self-contained vehicle was prohibited. We narrowly avoided a $140 fine.
Excellent free campsite with toilets and drinking water. There's shade. Many kangaroos at night, so be careful!
We came with our rooftop tent, but be aware that the toilets were closed from 6 pm… This free campsite is therefore more suitable for self-contained vehicles.
Very nice - clean, lots of trash bins, surrounded by nature, many picnic tables. Covered picnic area also, with water and sink. Toilets spacious and clean, opened from morning till evening, closed and locked during the night. Quiet during the night. 8 campervans allowed capacity. We came at 5pm and there was plenty of space left. No showers - if needed, there's a shower area in Woolworths shopping centre just 3km away. www.wanderresponder.com
Good campsite. Even with a late arrival, you can still access the site despite the gate being closed (via a small road near the gate). The toilets were fine, and there was drinking water as well as the option to refill water tanks. We had a peaceful night! :)
Very happy we stayed here on our way from Blue Mountains to Jervis Bay. The campsite is huge, and has both some gravel parking spots as plenty of grass areas. A big covered picnic area with lots of benches and tables which was great bc it was pouring rain when we arrived. Running water and toilets were abundant , very comfortable freecamp.
