Great place but be aware of ant infestation around late September.
WW2 Barrow Creek Staging Camp is the name for this place. It is on the east side of the highway. Wrongly placed on the map. The entrance is about 30.5 km from Barrow Creek caravan park. Skinny sign post which you can only see if you are travelling south. Easy to miss. Small cattle grid to go over then you have arrived. Plenty of spaces as it is a big area. Very peaceful and it's free. No phone coverage. Best to BYO firewood if you want a campfire.
Great site but incorrect on the map, follow the sign barrow creek ( on the left coming down from tennant creek. Patchy Telstra reception. No facilities, campfires allowed bring wood. Cattle will walk around.
Barrow Ck’s WW2 site is marked incorrectly on the map. The turnoff is not long after the previous stop.
Open space, lots of room. Far off the main road. Well sign posted.

Nice sunset.
I make it ~22km North of where it is situated on the map. There is a sign it's to the east of the road. You need to go through a small cattle grid very large vehicles may be a problem. Lots of space be careful if it's rained as there are soft patches and idiots have smashed their beer bottles near or in there old camp fires. If you want peace and quiet you may have the whole place to yourself.
