We stayed in the camp on the ridge. About 200 metres on the Borroloola side of the crossing. Nice circular space off the Savannah Way, caravan easy access, quiet and spacious. Beautiful sunset, nice cool breeze, almost no flies or mozzies. There is a rubbish bin. No other facilities.
Yep great spot! Turned right as we arrived traveling north just before the river drove along the track till we found a nice spot.
If coming from the East, take the track on the right (not suitable for caravans). Follow it all the way to the end and there is a beautiful spot for a few cars by the river. Expect wild horses to inspect your camp in the middle of the night!
Lovely spot. Crystal clear water, some shade. Not a lot of room if travelling in tandem.
Beautiful spot for self contrained campers. Not much room if you had caravans etc but perfect for our tent. Track on the NE side of the river looks like it goes to a local community but had 1-2 bigger sites along that track- the locals were around fishing the river so we asked if we could stay and seemed all good. No facilities so must ensure you are a leave no trace camper!
