A really beautiful place right next to the sea. With a bit of luck, you see kangaroos in the morning. The toilets are clean and there's a water tap. The individual places are really big, so RVs won't have any problems.
Really good! You need a permit so book in advance ( we booked the previous night and got the last spot available). We came with a 2wd, there was a bit of gravel road but it wasn’t bad. The sites are very big and offer privacy (are separated between each other by bush). The beach was beautiful! We didn’t find the toilets until we were leaving.
Great spot, booking system said we could only get one night unfortunately.? I don’t know how to stop these ghost campers from booking places out, toilets don’t get checked very often all out of paper for 3 days
Loved the park! Arrived late after a long drive and found somebody already set up in our pre-booked site. Fortunately there was another empty site (really hope we didn’t steal someone else’s - limited service to check)! There should be some kind of system (gate & code maybe) so that those who book don’t have to go through what we did. Highly recommend the park, just try to arrive early or not be afraid of kicking somebody out of your campsite.
Nice place on the beach. Book in advance, you need a permit. No range, toilet was reasonable. Definitely recommended in terms of location!
Remember to reserve your pitch on the government website, $7 per person and you have an assigned pitch, there are a lot of mosquitoes and a few wallabies in the forest/beach. Dry toilets and no showers. The rangers came to warn us about the fangs, be careful apart from that it's a real paradise, we left before sunrise to go to the beach at Cape Hillsborough to observe the kangaroos
We've stayed there one night. They has been seen a crocodile currently, so please watch out and maybe stay better in a camper then in a tent. There is a warning sign at the entrance and at the camping Spot number 1.
Awesome little beachfront camp, sites 1-5 are the way to go as they’re large and view the ocean. Eco toilet and plenary of shade, we even saw a few fire fly’s at night. Can walk up to the mouth of the river on an incoming tide for a spot of fishing if you’re keen
Must be book, very busy
The spot is in a great location & just off a gorgeous beach. It was very secluded, only us staying there which was nice. We saw honey eater, kangaroos, curlews and fairy wrens! you also park in the shade, meaning your car doesn't get too hot. However, the toilets were absolutely disgusting and we could smell them from our car. Too add, there are a lot of large bugs and mosquitos in the area, so would not recommend it in the summer for vehicles without Aircon that can be used without engine.
