Great place to stay heaps of room bins and some picnic tables provided walking distance to town check out the chicken racing at the local

Was told in Longreach this would be to wet but wasn't so don't believe everything until you check out with your own eyes. Great spot, plenty of space, need to be self contained. Great night at The Carrangarra (see review on their location) and courtesy bus comes down at 415 (did more then one trip the night we were there thanks Tambo for a great stay on our list for yearly visits now

Perfect spot for overnight or a couple of days to relax, kayaking down the creek was enjoyable, self contained only. Short walk into town or catch the courtesy bus to the local to be part of the chicken races and have a meal. Overall excellent stay.

This is a great free camp. It’s big and tidy. It was dry when we were there but you could see the tracks from people who had been almost stuck in the wet. The road is dry though so you could easily camp on that if it was raining. Turn down the road to the golf course from the springsure road to find it.

Just pulled in and what an amazing spot to camp up in. 72 hrs stop over next to the river, bout 8 others in. Huge open area, little shade, which we managed to get. Bins and picnic tables only.

Nice little spot - plenty of spaces for all sorts along Barcoo. Interesting walking track too which we undertook in the morning. No facilities which was fine by us. Dogs barking all night though - nearby properties or town??? Close to dam with park & toilets which was adjacent to servo.

Peaceful, flat and clean. Picnic tables, we could’nt find rubbish bin, plenty room for all size rigs, be sure to stay on gravel it’s boggy if you don’t, self contained rigs only.

Wide open spaces, no facilities as stated. Something to watch is that this space is part of the town common and thus is open to livestock. When we visited, about 30 head of cows and calves had taken over.
