Great spot and well worth a stay. Can pay for a power site if required . The pub is a real character pub and the meal was delicious (a large).
Perfect spot for a few days to explore the area. Rudds Pub a must but don’t eat lunch that day so you can fit your meal in. Lovely country charm and friendly locals. Clean toilets and little general store across the road. Right beside the rail line but no trains passed during our stay.
Perfect for free Camping
Doesn't look much when driving in but ticks all the boxes for a few nights. Lovely quiet town. Typical quiet country town. Feels very safe.
Wish we had found this spot years ago, couple of powered sites $5 in honesty tin, across road from Rudd's Pub with historical memorabilia, cold beers and great meals. 72hr camping limit applies.
This is a must stay if you are traveling near by The pub across the road has the best meal I have tasted in a pub and has great memorabilia of the town Clear toilets near by and a general store with everything you need Will be back Bill
It's the best place around Toowoomba. Nobby seems like a little western town. It's very quiet, full of friendly people and lots of nice animals like the tawny frogmouth. There are six powered sites (5 $ per donation) and plenty of space for non powered cars. Not much shade unless you park under the few gumtrees at the powered sites. The local pub is charming, we had nice beer and a sticky date pudding, very tasty. Also the people from the general store are friendly and the fuel is always cheaper than in Toowoomba. You can sit on picnic tables and use the BBQ. Even when it's raining you can find shelter under the old railway station information centre. Toilets are okay, sadly there is no light in the women's toilet at night. Good extras are drinking water taps and recycling bins at the sister Kenny memorial. We enjoyed our stay!
Lovely spot! Power is still cheap at $5 per night. Great atmosphere and meals at the historic pub. We will be back again.
Very good free camp toilets in nearby park across the road is Rudds Pub where you pay for the power $3 per night only a few trains pass by so noise highly recommend 72 hour stay permitted
