This “free camping” is not allowed: the station is monitored, sleeping on site can result in a fine, and the showers close at 7pm.

Perfect place, very beautiful and clean ! You can go to the pub to have a drink and camp for free. The toilets and showers are really clean.

We had a great night in this place, in contact with the animals! We were not asked to pay any fees to access the carpark or the showers (which were very clean!) even if we are obviously invited to help the Pub's economy. The staff were lovely and helpful too. 10/10!!

Loved it! Such a strange place. Lots of animals to look at. You get something in the pub to stay free in the campground. The pub owner is a funny guy. And he raises a lot of money for charity so I was happy to support his pub. The cockatoos where a little loud in the morning but maybe that’s about the season idk. Nice toilet facilities and paid shower. I had a tent no problem.

We spent one night at the camp, the staff are adorable! It is easy to land and settle in. A small farm surrounds the camp with pigs, chickens, goats and parrots.

Such a great place to stay! Farm animals roaming all around (‘Bunny’, is such a friendly little Shetland Pony 😊) It’s free if you patronise the pub, which is no problem as the food, atmosphere, owners and locals are great. Totally recommend 👍

09-11-2022 A Great Ad-Venture Zone for meal and a camp. A great country atmosphere. The Darling Downs Hotel, Sandy Creek offers Large level grassed camping area with shade and full sun beside a wonderful Old Queensland Hotel offering fantastic meals cold drinks and free camping for those who patronise the Hotel. Friendly staff, excellent clean ammenities, the Hotel & Grounds are immaculate. Highly recommend for travellers to stop for a meal or an overnight stay.
