It might look a bit sketchy with the trash and the homeless village but I had a great night sleep here. It was quiet, toilets were well stocked with loo roll, no fuss and great location if you wanna go to the zoo in the morning. Don't be put off by the initial vibe, just make sure you lock your doors just in case.

Read the google reviews, we showed up and smelt drugs straight away, a lot of permanent residents, we left as we felt really unsafe and saw on google that other people had bad experiences here!

Take this place with pinch of salt. It’s a busy carpark with full time residents in van/cars/tents. We stayed for one night and had no problems. It’s somewhere to stay especially if your off to the zoo the next day but lock your van/ tent at all times and keep your wits about you. You will here music till late and the guest singing.

A few permanent residents but show respectful to everyone and everything is fine

Turned up later on in the afternoon and first thoughts weren’t good. The place is a mess with permeant campers using tress and bushes as bins/Toilets. General mess everywhere felt very uncomfortable arriving and intimidated left to find somewhere else to stay for the night.

Felt extremely uncomfortable even as a 6ft+ muscular man. We continued driving south for ~20 min and found a camping spot for $20 AUD unpowered. Much better than this free one.

Good to sleep one night and safar. The bathrooms were fine. It's full of people living there, the atmosphere is rare

This place felt very unsafe, so we didn’t spend the night. You could tell that a lot of people where living here permanently, and the site was very dirty and creepy.

Close to the road but okay for sleeping. However, there are people camped there, and some shout at night. The site was very crowded; we only managed to park our van at 6 PM. The toilets are very dirty, and there's no running water to wash your hands.

We slept 1 night here and everything went well. Yes, there are residents every year but that doesn't bother at all. There were also a lot of travelers like us.
