The toilet and shower are impregnated with urine and the campground is very dusty because of the heavy weights.

Of you need to stop it's okay. However noisy, dusty, I wouldn't use the showers...

Free to stay overnight with hot water showers People come and go at night and early morning

Large gravel area (very dusty especially when train trucks coming/leaving) at a busy petrol station. Also may seems noisy as the trucks and trailers are parked there overnight and running constantly. However free place to park overnight and Hot shower and toilets are also for free. Laundry was locked. There are trees along the parking area providing a bit of shade however many miners (I guess) leaving their cars there too.

Be careful travelling west towards Cloncurry on Flinders Highway.... Do not hitch hike or go alone.

There is a toilet (clean), shower room (with hot water), a paid washing machine, and a large open space next to the gas station, which is very suitable for a rest area for one night (free). But camping and setting up tents are forbidden here, and you can only sleep in the car. But it's not bad, after all, it's free, so you can't ask for too much, suitable for backpackers who want to save money. The only downside is that it’s by the highway. It’s still possible to stay a night if you ask at the reception. The guy is friendly, toilets and showers are clean. Laundry is available. A little noisy because of the trucks, it’s a petrol station but it’s fine.

Stayed overnight this week, I did ask and was told just one night. I chuckled to myself, this is not a destination! Shower was good and a laundry if you need one.

We didn’t see any backpackers here! This is a nice spot with not many people, the shower isn’t the cleanest but it’s good. Park on the far left and in the morning you’ll wake up in a nice shady spot with a vieuw on the horses

Free hot showers were good, although not the cleanest. Wouldn’t really stay overnight again because of the trucks coming and going
