I stayed there for a week this year. Still a great spot but the river.the old bridge across the river has been rebuilt since I was last there to make it safer to go up to the pub. Highly recommend this place.

Absolutely beautiful camping with lovely scenery surrounding it would definitely come again you can camp right on the river bed and the water is very refreshing and crystal clear.

Most beautiful place! 100% recommend staying here. There are no facilities but the river is amazing to cool off in. There is lots of space and good amount of shade. You can even bring your floaty and let yourself be dragged downstream by the current, lots of fun!

Open! Good as ever, beautiful river side camping can easily spend a few days here.

Riverside access to caravans currently closed on both sides of river. It has been suggested this was as a result of people doing the wrong thing with grey water etc.

This is an awesome free camp spot. Hopefully the council find a way to keep it open, we certainly would be happy to pay if needed. Fresh clean running stream, a dump point, showers and toilets in town (5 minutes) away. Everyone we saw, was doing the right thing, I picked ip one piece of rubbish. 10/10

Nice spot next to the river, very busy

Nice spot. Was quite busy with big rigs and vans and I can see why they would want to stop them all churning up the river bed (they are strongly encouraging people to camp on the common across from the pub to preserve the rover area. Toilets and showers across from the pub if needed (5 minutes walk).

Showers, toilet and dump point across from hotel. Camp on the common. No camping under bridge.
