9km grass road just off the A1 so would recommend only 4WD unless you want it to take all day to get there, the lake is also dried up at this time with a million flies swirling you, can see why it would be lovely and peaceful places to stay at a different time of year so trust your gut but not worth the trip in summer, no phone signal either depends if you like the freedom of that

Fantastic, quiet, nice toilets, table and chair, fire pits private. Must bring in your own wood.

Long gravel drive but beautiful camp. Lots of spots to camp the further on you drive and trees for shade. Been wetter than usual so lake had plenty of water. Couple of sheltered picnic tables.

Very quiet, a few flies. Take firewood if you need a fire. No facilities so need to be self contained.

We spent one night there was wind at the start and then nothing overnight. No one around us. Very clean place No noise also No toilets, quite a few flies. Remember to take your waste away !!!

Spectacular place to spend a night! Well worth the extra few kms to get away from the highway, private also, one other there when we were but weren’t within sight of each other. Lake is currently dry (salt lake) but is incredibly beautiful still, epic sunset over the salt! 2WD access possible when you first get to the area, higher up overlooking the lake. However, if you have 4WD, highly recommend continuing an extra km through the camping area (East) where you can camp in sand on the lake edge. Just don’t be a tosser and drive on the lake surface leaving ugly scars like some have!

Not much water at this time of the year.

I spent 3 nights at this Reserve. There are no facilities, but it very peaceful. There are plenty of shaded spots E of the end of Lake Gillies track.
