Lovely spot on the river bank. Good mix of sun and shady spots to choose from. Some parts are pretty sandy and we helped a fellow camper who got bogged. Suitable for all types of camping and is dog friendly. Was pretty busy when we were there. There are no facilities here so must be self sufficient. Camp fires allowed, must bring your own wood.
Great spot so it does get BUSY . We will be leaving on a Friday but there be about 10 or more groups. The water is so refreshing one of our days we had a 42C. Not a lot of coverage phone wise
Not good anymore as river still flooding may be sometime before sand bar comes back
Great peaceful spot off season - unfortunately other campers have left remains of their fires on the beach and there is very little wood remaining for collection so BYO
Good spot on the river. Has a sand bar that has been ruined by careless campers lighting fires everywhere so the sand is full of charcoal. 0-1 bar Telstra. No toilets, no water. 2wd access. When busy area is very crowded, camping neighbour may only be 10m away
Beautiful spot could have stayed a couple of days
Beautiful spot!!! We came in early Feb and there was 2 other people in the whole huge area! A bunch of wild birds like ducks and pelicans and some kind of osprey/kite that was diving for fish in the river! Beautiful huge old trees you can get lots of shade under... Sandy riverbank with COLD water! The only thing that was sucky was when the wind kicked up, it was very dusty.
One of the nicer places we have stayed. Stopped at night woke up to mist on the river and beautiful sounds of wildlife. Would definitely recommend stopping. Fishing, fires, rope swing across the river. Would stay longer if not for the rain!
Nice place very quiet Good spots in front of the river for your car, caravan or tent with shades. Any facilities available. You can swimming and fishing. ??
Very popular campsite.. Our family and friends go there at every opportunity. Sand bar for the kids to swim
