Why nobody mentioned the trillions of thirsty mosquitoes? Impossible to stay outside, so either go there in the winter, when it's very windy or cold, or be prepared to stay closed in your vehicle. Noise from the road since early in the morning, less at night. The rest as described, event the ants. No tents allowed.

Great quiet spot! Peaceful at night with zero traffic, plenty of space for vans, good mobile reception, and nice picnic tables. Stunning Gulf views — highly recommend for a free overnight stop!

Great spot to stay overnight, very large area for many types of vehicles. Good for large Motorhomes , clean with a couple of picknick tables. Amazing sunsets and sunrises, quite later at night trucks travel around 6am but you are awake by then, always a good stop over when travelling. Gail & Mal feb 2024

From experience. Spring is the best time to travel the desert areas. (South Australia, Victoria and South west Australia) You’ll have beautiful green springs of flowers and crops and grassy plains. The summer however, dry, disturbing, unpleasant, flies and ants. So this area will be great, if your here between august and October.

It is close to the road so a bit noisy during the night. And you have a lot of flies and ants.. They ruin your stay!

Awesome spot for free. Clean and tidy and crabbing available to those that want too.

We haven't found any ants or dead things. Lovely views, a bit of road noise but will probably be quieter at night.

Pulled in here tonight to stop but pretty nasty, dead fiah / animal bones scattered about. Fences have bewn pulled down. Jist generally not nice and didnt want to stay there. Ended up driving dpwn the coast to Black Point Caravan camp. Nice place.
