Definitely need a 4x4 but such a good spot if you use a tent recommend bringing some kind of mat to put under it as the ground is rocky has 2 sets of toilets
Lovely spot in nature, with views of the lake through a patch of trees. 10 sites and a boat ramp. Each site has its own designated fire pit. Lots of birds. Lots of flies in morning and mosquitoes in evening (as is to be expected) The track is rough. A 4wd can definitely handle it, a good 2wd SUV might as well, but it was a bit of an adventure with our heavy 4x4 motorhome. The road only gets more rocky the further you go, so if at any points you have doubts, maybe best to abort.
Absolutely amazing spot. Says Medium-Hard 4WD track which I’d say is overkill. It’s very rocky and about 35mins off the main road due to driving slow but access was fine on a rainy day. Wouldn’t take a low rise vehicle or van there but anything with a higher clearance would be fine. Amazing toilets x2, great fire pits, 1 bar of Telstra service and lagoon access that’s beautiful. 7 day max stay
