We found this camp ground to be relatively flat, there are plenty of places closer to the river and the entrance that we saw regular cars/ buses/ non off-road caravans in. If you go way further in then there are rough bits. A good amount of company when we were here, but all with respectful distances. So close for day tripping in to Echuca without your van (we stayed in a large caravan). This place is lovely being able to camp right on the Murray but it needs some care by visitors and locals (maybe if we gave these places a little love, we could help to offset the bad in order to keep our country beautiful?).
Plenty of spots for a caravan or tent, though be careful with tree limbs dropping. River was a long way down & the camp is a dust bowl, it's free with a drop toilet & wet weather access would require a 4wd.
Fantastic spot to camp! ??
Great place if you want to hear chainsaws all day and randomly during the night. People yelling drunk over the top of their music all night. People drunk driving through your camp kicking up dust and peoples dogs trying to get into your tent at 0500hrs in the morning. Its a places locals go to party. If you want quite than go further away from town.
Excellent place to camp. Will do it again for sure a+++
Was an awesome place we got married there
Great spot for rustic rural camping. Bring a canoe for extra enjoyment
Good spot. Lots of level sites around spread over a long area. Only 2 drop toilets in 1 block. Camp close or be self sufficient. Riverbank quite steep in most areas. Huge dead branch broke and fell off a tree close to us. Beware.
A fantastic place for family camping, close to the Echuca township, this area has direct Murray River access.
