I wouldn’t recommend this spot – it’s super creepy in the middle of the forest, pitch dark at night, and the toilets are most likely full of spiders and random animals. Literally just 8 minutes further in the town of Cann River there’s a much better free spot with good amenities, lights, proper bathrooms and even showers.
Lovely spot to free camp
... nice place to stay, toilet, picnic tables, fireplace, a bit out of the way ... please take your garbage with you !!
We took a short break here and stretched our legs during the short walk in the rainforest. Definitely beautiful place where we would have liked to stay. BBQ unfortunately broken, but several tables and a fireplace available. A bit off the road, however, this is still to be heard. In the evening or at night but certainly ok, since there is hardly any traffic.
Nice spot! Unfortunately BBQ out of order atm
Very nice spot. Quiet, except for a few log trucks early morning. Great walk through the rainforest with plenty to explore. Plenty of friendly little birds around camp. Would interest young children.
Nice and quite spot with a little walkingtrack nearby. The toilets were dirty with many flies in and around the toilet.
Great spot. Nice walk through the rainforest. If I wasn't in a hurry to get to Gipsy Point I would've spent a bit more time here. Water is not drinkable, it's pumped from the river. Toilets are ok. Saw a rare bird on the 45min rainforest walk. Beautiful spot!
Nice enough spot for a night. Toilets were dirty (used diapers lying around) and had no toilet paper. The gas BBQ was out of order. Nice little river walk though, and we had a couple of possums running around the site in the evening.
Awesome spot among the trees, well worth the stop. Enough away from the road that road noise is not an issue
