We stayed at this spot for 2 nights first night 3 others and plenty of room the second night only 2 of us, yes Ranger does her patrol but if you’re doing the right thing you are okay. Ten out of ten Ravensthorpe council as stated before close walk to toilet and shops coffee van down near the rock wall is best in town.
What a shambles. Enough room for about 10-12 vans (depending on how they are parked) all lined up like soldiers. Loads of nicer places than to worry about this stop which I might add is always full and you will struggle to get a spot. If you must visit this amazing area I recommend the caravan park on the beach. The owners are more than helpful and will always make room even if they are full. It is shady walking distance to Main Street with beach on your doorstep.
Good place . Toilets are not quite on the spot but if you walk a bit there is a park with toilet next to the Main Street . I didn’t have any phone signal over there.
This was an amazing find. Free site for 2 nights maximum. Advise to get there early to ensure a spot as it’s quite busy. Public toilets 5/10min walk away and along from this, on the seafront by the coffee van is public showers. If you go inside they are hot! The town itself is lovely and the people are very friendly. The town has all the amenities needed, chemist, bottle shop, grocery etc.
Quiet spot, close to town. And town is lovely. Shop, pub, fish and chips. Could listen to the waves at night. Absolutely recommend. As everyone else noted, need to be self contained and it is checked.
Very nice for one night. Public restrooms are a 10-minute walk away at a playground. There are also two barbecues there.
We arrived around 4:00 PM outside of the April school holidays. We got the last spot. Unfortunately, many people park their RVs in such a way that the space isn't used effectively. I wish this could be monitored. Otherwise, it's perfectly fine for one night. Direct access to the beach.
Hopetoun RV free camp is along a tarred road. Rules to abide by or fines apply & Ranger does patrol. All water to be self contained with in Caravan Motor Home Camper Trailer. Ranger does check valves. Be is good lots of Seaweed best to walk, ride or drive further to 2 Mile Beach. Toilets a 10 minute walk Sand under foot Other camp sites along the beach are nicer
I ❤️Hopetoun! This free camp is amazing. It is a nice, quiet grassy spot, 5min walk along a nice path to the quaint little town that has everything you need and a 50m walk over a dune to the pristine waters edge. Swim, surf or fish there is plenty to do. 3mins away is a camp kitchen, toilet block and a playground. To be honest, it’s better than a number of CPs I’ve paid to stay in!
Stayed here two nights. Beautiful little town! Very clean and tidy! Rangers come around regularly but do the right thing and help keep this town clean and you won’t have a problem!
