Incredibly hot during the night (in December). Sweated throughout it and barely slept. And I’m not sure if it’s because of the time of the year, but the flies in the morning were horrendous. Still a good spot off the road, quiet enough to be undisturbed
Official 24 hour rest area for self-contained vehicles on the banks of the dry Peawah River. Some facilities Medium size bitumen parking area with no shade. Facilities include drop toilets, dump point and bins. Very weak Telstra with No Optus or TV. Suited only as an overnight stay. Gets busy towards the end of day. Some road noise from the highway.
Everybody should supply there own toilet paper at free camps. We are in a very safe and lucky country.?
Lots of room & tables, bit noisy but as to be expected beside road. Toilets smelly but haven't stopped anywhere were they aren't.. Just block ya nose. Rubbish bins overflowing & people still leave rubbish .. Take it with you to nxt bin.
Extremely loud, pretty much every half an hour a road train is passing. As long as the sun is up you'll get acosted by hundreds of Flys and as soon as it's down it mosquitoes. Adding to that it's incredibly hot. Would not recommend.
Nice overnight stay, but there is nowhere to wash your hands and make sure you are bringing your own toilet paper. Otherwise safe and not too noisy campside.
Nice spot. Clean facilities. With fire place
