Spartan camp because no shower and dry toilets are not super clean and no trash can either. Near the river which was dry. Get up before sunrise to have breakfast facing the domes. And don’t miss the cathedral walk between 11 a.m. and noon to have the light at the zenith once in the gorge, it’s magical!
There are two camping grounds on this site. We stayed at one the first night to explore South of the park, and then the other the next night closer to North end. Found that helpful for conserving fuel too. (One called Walardi the other is Kurrajong). The road in is as bad as they say, but once there it is well worth it, unique special place
Register online and go to visitor center to get your pass Non drinking water and wc are the only facilities
No showers, dry toilets, really nice site.
