They have moved the rest area across the river, no power or water,though we did try to use power at the old site but only worked a few minutes before it was turned off, very disappointed as thats why we stopped here

Agree with comments below unfortunately the new area across the river is not as good as the old. Small dirt area with road so close together it's hard for big rigs to park. Also slightly dangerous I'm riveredge as the dirt has no retaining wall. I moved on to another place sorry York the town is great but the RV rest area is not.

Great spot to stay a night. Room for multiple caravans, camper vans & everything in between. Public Toilets nearby closed between 7pm - 7am. IGA supermarket & pub 200m walk.

Clean area lots of work going on but now the other side of the river level site

York what has happened to your onite stop you closed ,you clearly are getting enough income. A dusty place on the other side of the river with no toilets we moved down the road to Beverely and supported their town . Your town businesses will suffer with the potential loss of extra income by this decision.

Has moved across the river as of November 1 2019. No power available, closest facilities are on the other side of the river. Nice spot, full up when we were here!

Escaped to this little rest area in the cute, lovely town of York after being scared away from the larger one down the road. Toilets weren’t locked at night and were very clean! Nikki ?? & Pike ???????

Great spot to spend the night. It is in the city next to the river. There are a bbq, toilets, playground, picnic tables, power. Quiet during the night but lots of lights around the car park. Free though so it’s very good!

York is a beautiful town with many eateries, including a lollies shop and icecreamery. Free electricity, access to water , next to the park and river. What more could you need. Absolutely brilliant. More towns across Australia should adopt this plan.

Thank you York for this nice and quiet overnight stop. The toilets were open all night. It's worth going to the pretty main street and have dinner in a restaurant or at a take-away
