Would definitely recommend this campsite! We were planning on freedom camping but all the spots were taken, so we booked this campsite last minute. Had a fabulous spot right on the hill overlooking the amazing views and had the sun perfectly in the morning. The toilets and showers are also clean and hot water was included - such a rarity! The site also had free kayaks that you can take out. Can’t fault it!

Beautiful campground with basic facilities. Paid 50 NZD for an unpowered campsite and two persons. Owner is a lovely person. Checkout is 3 pm so there is plenty of time for swimming and so on in the morning.

After being let down last minute by another camp ground, the team at Bethshan accommodated us very late at night. Really nice place, so much we stayed on for another night. Very grateful for saving our trip.

as all freedom camps arround were taken, this was a great last minute option - got there after 6pm and they were very friendly. super nice spot with an ocean view, wifi and clean bathroom/showers.

Great location, lovely view over the water. Great to have free kayaks and a beautiful bay to paddle in. Very welcoming staff. Campsite is a nice set up, limited toilets and showers (2 toilets and 1 shower for each, but fine out of season). Shower blocks could have been cleaner, seemed a little forgotten about. No WiFi. BBQ available, no real kitchen, just a small area with kettle, toaster, microwave. Lovely bay view, free kayaking and great price makes it worth a visit.

Wow! Direct access to a private beach, free rowing boats and kayaks, great outdoor dining and a top of the range BBQ. Lovely hosts. No kitchen but a kettle / toaster / sink. But what a setting in the bay. Tell your friends to come here. The most peaceful, relaxing and beautiful camping sport we found in 21 days in NZ.

A really nice spot right at the water with friendly owners. The washing machine and kayak rental were for free. The only downside is, that there is no kitchen.

Campsite tres sympa et tres Bon rapport qualité/prix. Très calme en hors saison. Gros point fort pour la vue face à la mer. Toilette et douche en bon état et machine à laver à disposition gratuitement.

We felt very good here. We were here off season, had very good WiFi and even though there is no indoor kitchen we could use the covered kitchen area. You only need your own cooker and some utensil. Everything very clean! Oh, and friendly owners. Thank you! ?
