Very sweet and idyllic campsite
Excellent accommodation for campervans with private toilet and shower, owner Ian is super friendly, we felt very comfortable, the cafe (9am - afternoon) and shop are also recommended.
This place is awesome they have onsuite bathrooms Rigby next door to your pitch. The site is immaculate beautiful setting fabulous kitchen, recreation area and has washing machine and dryer. There is a n on site cafe and farm just a wonderful haven just North of Auckland what’s more the whole establishment is ran as a charity. Thank you for having us kind regards Lucie and Paul xxxx
Received all the details by email. Self check in with key box for toilets ans warm shower. Clean and tidy. Very quiet at night, you can here the sheep, the road is a bit noisy in the morning
We absolutely loved staying here in our van! Ian was the best and most generous host you could ask for and really helped us to get our van ready to sell today. The camp facilities are great, all you need. Each spot also has its own toilet and shower which is a luxury we haven’t encountered before on our 2 months of travelling! Would 100% recommended!
Would only recommend stopping to explore the sheep world. Extremely confusing to arrive as a camper and I did not see one staff member my entire time, went into cafe to ask questions and they were quite rude and didn’t know how to help.
Lovely place! We arrived without a booking. Ian wasn't there, but we spoke with him on the phone. Very friendly man. We had a powered site with en-suite. This privat bathroom was OK. Free use of hot water. The kitchen was sufficient for us. We didn't use the laundry. Next to the SH1, but not very noisy.
I loved the place, had the en-suite. Everything was clean. Campground host Ian is very nice and helpful person. We had a lot of talks🤩 There is a cafe which prepares very tasty salads, cakes, paninis etc. I was there 3x. The place is quiet even though its close to the SH1. I could not recommend this campground more !!
Had a powered en-suite site for one night $56 this included use of the launderette (washer and drier) and kitchen as well as a toilet and hot shower next to the van Ian’s welcome and introduction were excellent There is a cafe and farm park on the site (Sheepworld) The site is under new ownership who are making efforts to gradually modernise the site - this was explained to us on arrival This is a good location to launch a road trip further north
