Lovely campground right next to the beach - we stayed in the furthest field and couldn’t find anywhere obvious to wash dishes (but there is drinking water). A beautiful spot with lots of space and a great walk nearby to spot kiwi’s at night!
Loved this spot! Popular site with kiwi people and kiwi birds, super close to the beach as well. Plenty of clean long drop toilets in the various areas.
Unfortunately only had one night here, wish we could have stayed longer! A gorgeous campground with limited facilities but excellent views and wildlife
This is a beautiful spot near the sea. The campsite is huge and was almost empty when I was there but I wasn't able to book it the night before my stay. Toilets are fine and there is drinking water. Right next to the beach which was lovely. Loads of birds. Not good cellphone reception.
Pleasant campsite with lots of pitches. Clean dry toilets, no drinking water but possibility of washing dishes. Just behind the beach. Very quiet at night due to the number of places. Good telephone reception. The camp on the left is hilly, watch out for irregularities in the ground.
A great doc site just behind the dunes to a lovely beach. Simple doc facilities. Decent reception. Close to Omaha which is also lovely. Matakana markets are great too.
Nice campsite with lots of walks and beautiful beach. Arrive early enough to be able to find a leveled site to park. Toilets, drinking water around the camp, rubbish bins (recycle, normal and organic) at the entrance.
Incredibly beautiful!
One the best camp for the moment! You can explore the reserve during the night, I saw a kiwi near to the ecology trail. I woke up with a lot of birds around my van during the morning. Wonderful!
Amazing campsite, clean toilets, fresh water. Tones of camping spots ! Really enjoyed our stay, lots of birds and you can hear the kiwis calling at night Beach amazing for a good swim and plenty to walk/ see 10/10 would come again
